Property investment is an area that’s of interest to many people from all walks of life. You just need to go out there and find them.

Here are a few suggestions to point you in the right direction.

These types of events are great for making useful connections. Property, home, financial and business events and exhibitions bring together many different professionals under one roof.

It’s helpful to view the organiser’s website or pick up a brochure to see in advance the sort of companies and individuals that will be taking a stand or represented at the event. Do you think these sorts of professionals could be useful business contacts?

You may not just be on the lookout for property investors, you may want to chat with experts in different fields such as financial consultants, property developers or legal advisors and these events can be a useful place to seek them out.

Networking events

If you find there are a lot of networking events going on in your area, you will want to be selective about which ones you attend. Try asking around and visit ones based on personal recommendations.

Networking events are a great place to get new ideas. They always include a diverse assortment of people with a varied range of business ideas. Some events are more formal than others. It’s beneficial to find out in advance what the format of the event will be. In any case, you should have an elevator pitch prepared before you go along.

In a few, succinct sentences can you explain what is it you’re looking for? Can you make your business idea sound compelling?

Attending these events is a useful way to hone your conversational and presentation skills in a friendly environment. At the very least, you’re likely to have some interesting conversations and hopefully make some valuable contacts.

Of course, this involves engagement and participation on your part, which takes time and effort.
